Tip 1.To be an effective caregiver to others you must first know how to set your own personal limits on what you can give of yourself. It is okay to reserve some care for yourself.






Tip 2. Don’t forget that in your efforts to being a good care worker you reach out and get support for you too! Tip 3. No one will every pay you for the time you spent feeling guilty because you took some time for yourself. Tip 4. Don’t ever give to others with the expectation that you should give to you something back. Tip 5. If something breaks in your parents home and they want you to help, just hire a local handyman. Tip 6. Understanding your own physical and emotional limitations can help you stay healthy and better cope with the stress of care giving.
