For sixty-two years Dad took care of all of my parents financial needs. Because Dad grew up during the Great Depression, he became extremely frugal. He worried that we must never live beyond our needs. When Dad died about 18 months ago, Mom was extremely overwhelmed with taking over the finances. You see my father really embraced using the computer to track all his finances, including doing on-line banking, and tracking their stock accounts. Mom never wanted to learn anything about operating a computer, even resisting how to use email so she could communicate with her grandchildren. Now, the responsibly to take over their finances and management is falling on me, I am the only son. Help can anyone relate to my new burden.
